Several trees here on ancestry have listed her father as George Adams. I have found a George Adams in the Census records of 1830-40 and he has a dau of the correct age to be her. Family Mythology has it that George's wife was of Indian heritage. She married John Pipes in Limestone in 1844. He died during the war and she moved to Hardin Co. Tenn. Can anyone offer clues, leads or proof that George and Delilah are related? or info about the Indian Connection? I have a great deal of info on her family and children.
