That helps alot ... and makes sense because last weekend I found an 1860 census for a John Adams living with several families in erath texas ... I was not sure if it was our John or not ... he was the right age, and born in MO. I also found one of the family members he was staying with used to live near cape g in the 1850 census so the census you found would make sense because he is not listed!
