I did find Andrew J.Adams,20 & Eva Adams, 10, living with an ElizaJ. Adams 47;Nancy E. Adams 16;George W Adams 15; and Hamilton Adams 14, all living in 1860 Bollinger Co Mo., Liberty Twp. census. If you look on a county map for MO, Bollinger Co is right west of Cape Girardeau Co Mo. The census says that ELiza was born in Tenn & all the children were born in MO. Maybe Eliza was a sister or sister-in-law to your Wm. Adams. Lots of women in those days had children while unmarried & gave them their last name & the census doesn't say if she was married, single or widowed. Hope this helps you with your search.
