    1. [ADAMS] Looking for Eabassett and MissouriGenNut
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: CarlaHunter_Southwick Surnames: Adams Hunter Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.adams/14677/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am hoping to be able to connect with [email protected] and/or [email protected], both of whom are connected to my Adams family. They both posted to this list in 2000. I wonder if they have changed servers or if anyone can direct me to them or their research. I have questions and sure wish I could locate them. I also have information to add to their databases, if they are interested. I descend from Henry ADAMS, revolutionary soldier > John ADAMS m. Susanna HART > Henry A. ADAMS m. Nancy JACKSON HUBBARD WAID HUNTER > Susan(na) ADAMS m. Wyatt HUNTER on 30 Dec 1840 at Green County, IL. Susanna ADAMS HUNTER was born in St.Louis in 1820 and died in Hurdland, MO on Oct. 16, 1917. Much of this information I got from Eabassett and MissouriGenNut's postings on here. Some also from Christopher Durall, and some from my own research. Eabassett refers to a family chart which she has in her possession, and I sure would love to know more. I have not had any response to my attempts to contact them over the years. If anyone knows how I can reach these researchers, and/or if you have any information on the above Adams ancestors, please let me know. Thanks so much for any help, C. Hunter Southwick Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. I also looked for "MissouriGenNut" because I went to the Archives and found her writings to this List in the late 1990's and in 2000. There were a few more people writing to her about her line of ADAMS but she definitely had the best information and was the most thorough in her research. I have not seen the writings of "Eabassett" but I will look for that persons messages also now. I wanted to correspond with "MissouriGenNut" but saw that she quit writing in 2000 and I thought that was strange because she was about 15 years younger than me. I went to one of the search engines that finds live people, for a fee, and paid $9.95 (or some such) for her present address. It came up with several addresses for her and I wrote to all of them searching for her. A couple of the letters came back undeliverable but eventually I received a letter from her social worker with a new address for her ("MissouriGenNut" is Bella Hughes). The note says she is living at a Nusing Center, gave me the address and the social worker says "I could call her - she is unable to write much". I do not feel comfortable calling Bella when I do not know what happened to her or why she is at the nursing home. I have meant to write back to the social worker and ask her what has happened to Bella but have a huge stack of correspondence to do and have not gotten around to it. This was last May. I will try and write now even though I am busy with holiday happenings. I hope we are connected also, ADAMS-wise, and would like to continue this discussion with our personal emails. Mine is [email protected] I am originally from Kansas City, MO and that is where Bella Hughes is living. I can give you the address for the Nursing Center and the name of Bella's social worker. hope to hear from you...............Judy Bates ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, December 08, 2009 12:04 PM Subject: [ADAMS] Looking for Eabassett and MissouriGenNut > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: CarlaHunter_Southwick > Surnames: Adams Hunter > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.adams/14677/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > I am hoping to be able to connect with [email protected] and/or > [email protected], both of whom are connected to my Adams family. > They both posted to this list in 2000.
