My 2nd GGrandfather, Richard W. Adams, born 1817 in England, lived in the little town of Como (now known as Hudson or Hudson Heights) about 40 miles southwest of Montreal. In 1856 he married Elizabeth Robinson in Como. In the 1860 census of Canada his birthplace is given as Angleterra (England). I do not know when or how he arrived in Canada.
