I was told by my father that I was named after a girlfriend in one of those countries while he was in WW2. My middle name is Dawn and that is, I believe, the girlfriend's name. My uncle (Dad's brother) said that my dad told him that he married a girl over there in either France or Germany. If there was a child or children, we are half siblings and I would like to get to know this part of my family. When dad came home from the war, he met my mom and had us. He is now deceased.
