Adams Elrama Formerly of Clairton and Union Township LaVerne M. (Tarrant) Adams, 95, of Elrama, a former Clairton and Union Township resident, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, in Four Oaks Personal Care Home in Monongahela. Born April 9, 1916 in Dravosburg, she was a daughter of the late William and Marie (Gorman) Tarrant and wife of the late Charles R. "Red" Adams, who passed away April 7, 1987. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville and AARP Clairton Hill Chapter 2862. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Stark, of Elrama; grandchildren, Denise (Ed) Penatzer, Dave Stark, Greg Adams, Kathy (Frank) Andrisko and Sean (Shelly) Adams; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Tressler, of West Mifflin; brother, James T. "Terry" (Sandy) Tarrant, of Hillsboro, Ind.; also nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by by a son, Jay D. Adams; brothers, Bill Tarrant and Jack Tarrant; and sisters, Audrey Fike and Pat Angotti. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the PAUL E. BEKA! VAC FUNERAL HOME, 221 N. Second Ave., Elizabeth. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Francis of Assisi Church, with the Rev. John Keane officiating.
