Venus was my great grandmother, her daughter, Julia Ann Adams was my grandmother, and Julia's daughter, Della Colmer was my mother. She married Richard Lowe in 1937. I recently tried to find info on Raphael Adams on Ancestry.com, but due to lack of info as to when or how he came to the USA I had no luck. I had to give up my search for a short time due to cancer treatments and then some home remodeling. I hope to resume my search again soon. I also have been searching for history about my grandfather, Joe Colmer, husband of Julia Ann Adams. He was of Indian decent and left his reservation at about 12 years old. I know only that he went to Fouke, Arkansas where he was taken in by a family named Colmer that ran or worked at a sawmill. We beleive that is where he got the name Colmer. I would be willing to share any materials I have on any of these family members and would love to know if anyone has any history about my family.
