    3. FS- HELLO,and thanks for the info on Benjamin E. Adams 1804-1884 son of Zadock. If he is indeed my Grandfather Adams' grandfather, he must have left a a son in the Carolinas named Quincy Benjamin, b. abt 1824 [ Ben E. would have been 20 then] who does NOT appear in any of the Census pages you provided. These all show Ben E. and wife Mary Moore and children [11 in all I think] the oldest of whom was born 1828-29, and all in Graves County KY where Mary Moore was born. Zadock's brother Charner Adams stayed in upstate SC while Zadock moved his family to KY in about 1818, so Ben E., his son-- already in his teens-- might well have stayed behind with relatives, had an early marriage [or child out of wedlock even, as did two of Charner Adams' daughters, b. 1802 and 1804]- and then lost his wife to death or divorce and joined his father's family in KY in about 1826. Charner Adams also Had a son Joel Ivey b. 1808 who was still in Union SC [ I think ] in 1830. I wonder what the Census for Union County SC would show for 1830 as to Adams families .. Perhaps there would be a small boy Quincy B. [ age 5-8] living with one of them. Joel Ivey's son Charner Thomas, b. 1837 had a son Robert Washington, b. about 1868 whom I believe was close friends with Quincy B. [ b. abt 1825] and his son John Quincy [b. 1861], my Grandpa . If you know of anyone who might be very familiar with these lines---- I realize you yourself may NOT BE--- please direct me to them. I am goin to post this on the rootsweb sites also. Thanks again, Steph Powell Cecil stephaxi@mindspring.com or rnscecil@mindspring.com
