This is all I have on the origin of my surname. I believe they were born in Friesland, in the Netherlands. I did find a record for the birth of a Jacobus Adams in 1797 to an Adam Peifer (Pfeifer?) and Johana Jacobus, in Leeuwarden, Friesland, Netherlands, before the 1811 surname law there, when one took the father's first name to be his/her last name. But I have no link to corroborate that this is indeed my Great-Great-Great-Great Grandfather. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
