The published census of Knox Co Ohio graves said that Elizabeth, wife of William Adams, died in 1841. However, on Find A Grave, the photo just published is illigible. What is not illigible is her age of 31 yr 3 mo 21 days at time of death. Putting that together with her age on three censuses and the birth date of her last child Israel P. Adams which was 26 Feb 1844, Elizabeth Grub Adams died in 1844 and not 1841. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Daniel Adams that I have traced back to Alabama. And another one that goes back to Wilkes, NC. Daniel Adams son, James M Adams, married Sarah Elizabeth Adams in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana in 1877. Sarah Adams family like goes back to Wilkes, NC. Verbal family history says that, as far as they knew, they were not related. Have not been able to get any further back with Daniel Adams because most county court houses across the south were burned by the Union Army during the Civil War. All I did was take some of the information about George that I found on Ancestry.com, and then place it in a historical context. It's easy to do, and it can really make an ancestor "pop" out of the tree. Here's the link: http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/16957300/person/519191231 The funny thing is this: after I did this for George and a couple of other people in his line, a careful re-investigation of the earlier parts of my own family tree revealed that I wasn't related to poor George even in the slightest! That was very disappointing because he was quite a guy! If this info helps others, though, that makes the work all worthwhile. Good luck with your continuing research!
