I am assuming from service in the Revolutionary War(?) I am wondering if this may be the Robert Adams who was the husband of Mary Terrell, of the Adams' line from Albemarle/Campbell/Louisa Co VA? At the same time, Gary Hitch was appointed guardian to Anthony Adams, age 8 years and William Adams, age 6 years, orphans of Daniel C. Adams. William Hitch was appointed guardian to Edward Adams, age 1 year and Margaret Adams age 3 years also orphans of Daniel C. Adams. He is buried in a rural cemetary west of Schulter, OK know as Salt Creek Cemetary. My grandmother Mary Jane (Law) Banks said her brothers built a pine coffin and she lined it with black sateen.
