    1. [ADAMS] WASHINGTON ADAMS (1811-1863) BORN IN OHIO
    2. Perry Adams
    3. I am looking to connect my WASHINGTON ADAMS who was born in 1811 in Ohio with his proper parents and family. He died in Mt Carroll, IL in 1863. In 1832 he married Laura Hill in Lagrange county, IN. She was the daughter of Dr. Moses J. Hill and Betsey (Winslow) Hill. Washington and Laura had three children. Mary, Moses and Martha . All three children born in Lagrange county, IN. Living near Washington and Laura in Lagrange was another Adams family headed by John Adams who died sometime prior to the 1850 census but appeared in the 1840 census. This John Adams family may have been related to Washington Adams either the parents of Washington or perhaps cousin. Does anyone have any information that might help me to connect my Washington Adams with his proper parents and family line. Thank you for your help. Perry Adams padams49@sbcglobal.net

I am searching for information on Wyley (Wily, Willey, Wiley, etc..) Adams of NC, TN, KY, and MS. Father to James A. Adams. Also butting against the brick wall. Perhaps there is some connection of our Adams in Mecklenburg Co. Also search for a current day Bill Adams (of Waco, TX possibly?) to do some genealogy comparisons with. Are you possibly the same Bill? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 1. Re: [ADAMS] ADAMS, John and Sopha of Germany
    2. Vic Adams
    3. You need a German researcher to check church records. Do you know which part of Germany they are from? Were they married here or there? Have you located their immigration record? Were they together when they arrived? Were they ever naturalized? A natiralization record could be most helpful, so too an immigration record. Author: Adams_Micheal Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.adams/5036.1.2.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Lisa Wow. These posts go back a few years themselves... I'm just now looking into my family genealogy, and I'm pretty new at this. I saw a post from Steve Adams looking into David Price Adams' parentage, and your reply... Who knows if maybe there's a connection between David Price Adams and the Price family line? I certainly don't. But there were actually two David Price Adams - a father and a son - and the father was the one born in Georgia in 1791; the son was born in NC in 1820. David Price Adams (Sr) married Elisabeth Wood in 1813 in NC, and has a cemetery in Cherokee, NC on land he had owned - it's where he's buried. Unfortunately, the trail goes cold there. It's difficult to find any more information on him, or his origins. There's misinformation about his father being Joshua "Josia" Adams floating around; I haven't found anything to support it, but a few things contradict it. It doesn't look good for anyone from Pitt County, either; Cherokee County, NC is a pretty good dis! tance from there. I'm still in the process of checking the message boards; that's going to take a while, I think. But maybe I'll come across a lead. If you happen to come across anything pertinent, I'd certainly appreciate it if you could let me know. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
