    1. Looking for Mike Adams of the Mingos in Ohio
    2. A gentleman came into our Native Genealogy booth at the AAIWV Pow Wow in Salem, WV a few weeks ago. He stood listening while we answered questions for other people. He stood looking at the picture of great great grandma Anne Jane Adams Allshouse. When there was no one else in the booth he pointed to the picture and said I know her. I assured him he didn't look that old. When we finished laughing I told him who she was. He said I needed to meet Mike Adams of the Mingos in Ohio. This gentleman said he would be back to talk more later, but I didn't see him again. We were so busy in the booth that weekend that I didn't get a chance to go around looking for him to get contact information. I do most of my contacts via email, I looked online for an email contact unfortunately did not find any. I found articles online about his wife learning the Mingo language, and found him listed as Head Man for a Pow Wow that has been cancelled. Heard from someone that the Mike Adams is Chief of the Mingo Nation URB in Ohio, and is often called Mingo Mike. I haven't been able to find any info on them or him. I come a cross a website where the owners say they are members and the person they most look up to is Mike Adams. I emailed them to try and get contact info. I emailed the coordinator of the cancelled Pow Wow for information. Posted enquiries asking for a referral to Mike Adams. At this point I will try anything to get a hold of this Mike Adams to find out why this gentleman was so insistent that I meet him concerning Great Great Grandma Anne Jane Adams Allshouse. Kristi and I have the pictures of my Mother, Grandfather, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother displayed in our booth at Pow Wow in the hopes we will run into other descendants. I am a great great grand daughter of Anne Jane Adams Allshouse. My mother was Florence Grace Whiteman Roman Of NJ., then FL. Her father was Steward Adams Whiteman of Pa., then NJ., then Fl. His mother was Leona L. Allshouse Whiteman of Pa. Her mother was Anne Jane Adams Allshouse of California, Pa. Anne Jane's parents were Lydia and Samuel Douglas Adams of Pa. One of Anne Jane's sisters was Catherine Adams Murray of Pa., then Dellslow, WV. Thanks in advance to anyone who can let Mike Adams know why I am trying to contact him. Laurie Beth Roman

Surnames: Adams, Holmes Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CI.2ADEB/9114 Message Board Post: Have found my Adams family except for Harold C. Adams. According to his father's Nathaniel C. Adams CW papers he was born Aug 4, 1889. They were living in MN in 1889 so I would guess that is where he was born there. In 1924 when his sister died, my grandmother, Nellie O. Adams Holmes, he was living in Seattle, WA. Can anyone shed some light on this man? I would appreciate any leads you may have and hopefully find more family. Donna Holmes Palkowsky genealogy@281.com
