A daughter of the late Archester and Co'Pearl Cousar was born on September 9, 1944 in Dillon [Dillon County], South Carolina. 'Ma Pat' was very active in her church and community. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church where she participated in the Hymn Choir and Usher Board. She loved softball and working tirelessly in her communitiy promoting activities that would enrich the lives of others. A service to remember her life and many accomplishments will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2005, 1:00 PM at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1401 Allen Street with Dr. Gregory Moss officiating. My ADAMS line came from Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Ireland. I have a James ADAMS b. c1835 m. 1854 Enniskillen, County Fermanagh - Alice Shannon "Sheenan". They had a daughter Ethel Mildred, born 1886 in West Ham. She became a professional dancer and she was my Grandmother. She had a son Eric (b 1903), and a daughter Edna sometime later. Ethel married a John William Barker in 1910 and died abt 1949. Eric died in 1965.

I know Adams is a common name, however, my ggg grandfather was a John Adams who later had a daughter Thurza. John was born Feb 15/1821 but died in 1873. There was no entry in the family prayer book regarding his wife. His daughter Thurza was born in 1856. The book was presented to John in 1860 and perhaps he was a widower by then. So far it seems that Thurza was the only child. The book has been passed down in the family but apart from the entries for births of Thurza's children and her husband's siblings (Wilkinson Seymours) , there is little other info. The towns entered in the book are Aston and Tipton...who was where is also not clear. Thanks
