    3. Hi, Somehow I missed the whole discussion of Pleasant Adams. I have a Pleasant Adams probably born in Virginia. Child I know about born in Virginia (now WV). This Pleasant would probably have been born about 1800-1820 but possibly earlier. Does this fit in any way the family you are discussing? Hia daughter-in-law probably born in KY. 1. RE:Adams from KY & VA
    2. ADAMS? I grew up in NE KY in a valley called Johns Run. This is near where Pleasant Adams lived & died. I have made several trips to SW VA where people indicate that Pleasant lived as a young man. I have not found any thing that indicates the NE KY Adams family came from VA. The only reference to where Pleasant was born was a article in a news paper when Pleasant died. This article reported that Pleasant was born in VA and was buried on Johns Run, KY. The above and the fact that all the Adams family except William went north and joined the Union Army during the Civil war makes me think that the NE KY Adams family came down the Ohio river from the NE. I do not think the people listed as the parents of Pleasant have any connection to the NE KY Adams family. I do have a large collection Adams data. Gene Adams
