I have the surnames pretty close to the ashby line. my grandmother was Cecile ashby and her mother was Irena adams and have seen cards, letters or something around here with that name. The photo you had earlier with the ashbys- oldest was of Ollie ashby who married irene adams - my great grandparents. It was an aunt or cousin real close in here.

I am looking for the ancesters of John Quincy Adams, b. 1798 in Quebec, Canada, d. 1887 in East Whitby Township, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. John married Mehetable Pringle in 1826, somewhere in Canada. Mehetable was born 1806 in Ontario, Canada and died 23 April 1895 in Ontario Canada. Notes about John Quincy Adams: he was of French descent. John Quincy Adams is my 4th great-grandfather. He married a woman from So. Carolina, traveled into Tennessee, where at least two sons are born- Henry and John, Jr. (in the 1820's). Next John and his two sons travel to Oregon and claim land in Southern Oregon - 1851. They were some of the first land claimants in the area of Myrtle Creek. Not sure if they are related to my great-great grandmother who settled in the same town and was an Adams, born in Tennessee.

Do you know anything about an Elizabeth Sally Adams of Tennessee, born 1813, and married to Nathan Dazey, please? 100 years ago, her grandson wrote that she had been an adopted daughter of one of the Pres. Adams. I see no such notation in the historical information about the Pres. Adams. Marie

His father was also John Joseph, occupation smith. Possible death of father 1857 Plaistow. Does anyone have these Adams in their tree?
