They had four children. The oldest, Elijah Curtis HILL is my great grandfather who moved to Richardson Co., NE. Rueben was also found there but no record of Elizabeth. Register says he was Burgess 1623-24 He came to America on the "Bona Nova" in 1620. Was Burgess from Martin's Hundred, (21V55) his wife applied to the Court January 21, 1628, for permission to administer his Estate, (30V273). His Nuncupative Will proved at James City Court, April 9, 1629 by Oath of John Lyford, Minister (31V214. The (21V55), (30V273) (31V214 refers to Swenn's Index. Can anyone tell me about Robert Adams who was a settler on James River in 1620 he had a son, William Adams who was the father of Robert Adams who died in 1739 and married Mourning Lewis. Both left wills and Mourning left a will" and deeds of gift and showed as well in Robert's will their children. I am not familiar with the old Robert Adams (settler on James River in 1620. He is my ancestor. Do you know who he married and if he other children than the son, William Adams I do not know who William Adams married either and the only child I have for him is Robert Adams who md Mourning. I feel very comfortable about what I have from current date up to Elijah and Eva (Griffith) Adams however, over the years I have been very frustrated with regard to finding anything on the parents of Elijah and/or Eva. I believe that our Elijah b. 1781, is the son of Elijah b. 1752 and Susannah Leeper and this Elijah was the son of Elijah b. 1722 and Hannah Blair but, have never been able to prove this. I was told at one time by another researcher that this was impossible but, he could nether prove or disprove his statement. Also, at one time, I did hear that one researcher felt that my Elijah was the son of Robert but, again, offered no proof. If you are interested in what I have, I would be willing to email you a PDF file. I will ask that you not publish my research without permission. Hello, I am from the U.K., looking for a relative , named William Adams.In 1923 he lived at 1164 High Street,Wheeling , W.Va. Can anyone on the list help me? He was a cousin to a great aunt,Elizabeth Goss(Adams), but I cannot place him in the family tree. I realise that he doesn't go back as far as some of the Adams' that I have seen on here, But I need to connect him to my family(if I can)! The Goss' were at Martins' Ferry , Ohio, in 1930, and Elizabeth Goss (nee Adams) was my Gran's eldest sister. So I think that William Adams, and I repeat think!,was possibly a Grandson of Charles Adams.
