He was born abt 1789/1790 in Bedford, Co., Virginia. He died 8 April 1865 at Franklin Co., Missouri. He married Lydia Ann Doss on 25 Dec 1812 at Bedford Co., Virginia, then he married Elizabeth Doss, then Emeline Tracy on 17 Dec 1849, at Marion Co., Illinois. As far as I can tall James had one son, Jabez Adams born 3 Jan 1813, Bedford, Co., Virginia. He died 11 Feb 1876, Osage Co., Kansas.

In the 1840 census their are two daughters that was born about that time. James was born 1819 the oldest the next one i have is my GGrandfather Maxwell. Their is six years between them after that every two years. The two oldest daughters are not in the 1850 census. We think they had married by then. James named one of his daughters Martha she was born in 1848. Steve

Perhaps there are some living relatives that are related to the above subject person that use the services that Ancestry.com has to offer. I am interested in finding information on the above person and her ancestors. I don't really have that much information - only that when I had met her in 1964 she lived in Hopkinton, New Hampshire. She was rather quite elderly then and quite a lady. Very polite person. I'd say she was probably in her late 70's or early 80's then. Hanna Sycks was born in PA, and James was born in either PA, WV, or VA. David was born in Ohio but left there as a young child and moved to MO. His mother died in 1875 and I have no idea what happened to his father. I find David in the 1880 census logging in Montana. Is this your same David?
