    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Adams Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CI.2ADEB/9321 Message Board Post: I am researching Adams family from Tyler, Texas. John Holland Adams, my ggfather, born in Rappahanock Co, Va in 1854 or 1856, married Miss Ellas Rudasill also from Rappahnaock Co. VA in 1879 in a town called Pleasant Valley, VA. They arrived in Tyler, Texas around 1883. John Holland Adams' father and mother may have been Josiah Adams and (nee) Ann Holland (from Sperryville, VA). There may have been a brother and/or sister to John but I cannot verify. I am seeking any information on John Holland Adams as I am at a stand still. John and Ella (her father was Phillip Rudasill) had one son, Walter Holland Adams (my gfather). Any information on John Holland Adams or Walter Holland Adams would be very deeply appreciated.

    3. Evelyn, I am fairly new to the list and do not know the dates or places of your My ancestor was also an Arthur Adams, born ca 1786 in Virginia, died about 1861 in Lawrence County, Kentucky. He was married about 1810 to a "Peggy" Frances Horn (or Horne), born about 1793 in Virginia and died between 1870-1880 in Lawrence County, Kentucky. Perhaps we can find a common thread. Frankie

Surnames: ADAMS Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CI.2ADEB/9317 Message Board Post: In the memoirs of FLORA WOODWARD DIAL, she writes about a family of Adams brothers who lived in the vicinity of Castroville. Bill Adams lived "on the Portremco" and kept a stage stand. There were six brothers, John and Dan (who the Indians killed somewhere on the Frio), Jim, Matt and Cud. The latter two settled in California -- Trestin and Orange. ("Trestin" could be actually Tustin as it is near Orange. Both are in Orange Co., CA.) This is all I know of the Adams "boys" but thought it would be of interest to descendants. Regards, Carol Woodward Noble
