His mother was Hannah Sykes or Sycks and father was James Adams, of VA or WV, David's parents died when he was in his early twenties, so, if he married, his wife did not ever know them and if she was the one giving the information quite possibly might not have known such info as where born, etc. In the census David has a middle name with initial S or N, and it is difficult to tell. I find this David and his brothers EM and MV in Montana in 1880. I don't find David or MV ever again after that census. Anyone with information about this ADAMS family, please contact me. Thanks

I will also reply to the Message Board, but some of you on the Adams Rootsweb List might like to know about T.A.S, Thomas Albert Smith Adams, aka "Smith" Adams. T.A.S. was a scholar-educator, minister of the Gospel, author, with many other accomplishments in his short life, that endeared him to the Adams Family of his birth in Noxubee Co., MS, and to many others in the Southeast. He's still larger than life, Uncle T.A.S." to the many descendants of Smith's parents Abraham and Nancy Gooch Morgan Adams (including me). Contact me directly, and I'll be glad to share more of what I've learned.
