Pilgrim (1902-1963). She married ??? Adams in MI, and had 4 children: Charles, Joseph, Violet, and Shirley. Sarah is my grandmother. My grandfather, Henry Wells (d. cir 1955), was married to Sarah in 1942 after ??? Adams. My mother, Mary, is Sarah and Henry Wells only child. I only knew Violet growing up. Charles lived on the same street as did Sarah at one time here in Waterford, MI. If you have any info on this family or are a descendent, I'd like to hear from you. Thank You, Bruce Johnston

    1. James ADams of Mass
    2. James Adams died 26 Dec 1775 New Braintree MA married 24 Dec 1741 Boston MA to Elizabeth Johnson/Johnston who died 24 May 1806 New Braintree MA. I have no birth or parentage on him. He moved around a bit living in Worcester 1743 Shrewsbury 17447, Leicester, Hardwick, & New Braintree 1750. They had 8 children born in some of the towns mentioned above between 1741 & 1760. I have not been able to connect him with the Presidential Adams line of Henry Adams. It has been suggested that he may be a more recent arrival in the Bay state. No parentage for Elizabeth Johnson/Johnston either. Richard Clark rgclark@bellsouth.net

His GRANDparents were both from Ireland, and those kind of mistakes are common if you are using census as your source. My David is listed on the 1880 census in Montana, and actually listed twice. Once in Silver Bow and once in Deer Lake, both pretty close in location. He was not yet married there, but close enough in age to your David. The dates of his children would coincide, if he lived beyond that census. Like I said, I lose him after that census.

He died in 1922 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was a US Deputy Marshall in Indian Territory. He had a daughter Adele born in 1884, a son Harry born in 1878, and another daughter Irene in 1888. In this census it shows them all born in Illinois. So maybe this is another branch or different family. It says that David's parents were born in Ireland. Thanks, Delilah
