Archibald married Sarah Colson and had children: Archibald Adams, Jr., Lucretia, Levi, and Peter Born in Dorchester Co, MD. He died in North Carolina, believed to be of Summer Adams line. Will of Thomas Colson, 17 Jan 1733 confirms Sarah as wife of Archable. Children names come from Johnny Lee of Texas Will and personal records of Johnnie Lee, Rd 2, Detroit, TX 75436. 903-982-5309. Also Maryland will book 20:858.

Was a veteran of War of 1812. 1817 moved to Clinton Co. His father Thomas Nutter Adams died 1827 near Centerville, Ohio in Wayne Township. His mother died at 82. Thomas Nutter Adams moved to Sabina, Ohio 1827. Both parents lived on Urbana Road, Centerville. Same source: T.S. Adams, Mt Sterlin Illinois, formerly of Clinton County, Ohio. Mentions his mother-in-law at Mrs. Zada Birdsall. (Source: History of Clinton County, Ohio, 1882) Thomas N. Adams first marriage's children were Absalom, Henry and Mrs. Isaac Pavey. Second wife's children were Thomas N, John, Charles, William, Henry Long, and others. Thomas N, his son, claimed to be born 10 Sep 1772, but his age in Issac Pavey's bible, seen at Manlif Adams' house, gives his birth on 4 Jun 1783. Died Sept 1876 (says 1875 elsewhere) (104 years old!, but not impossible if father lived to be 107 as other sources indicate). (These dates ended up not very clear in my notes, so am not absolutely sure I got them right, will check another time, though I did see in another source were he lived to be 104). Absalom Adams lived close to Urbana Rd. He was father of Edward and John Admas (both dead before 1882). Edward married Leah, sister of Jessie McKay. He owned 151 1/2 acres. Henry Adams, brother of Absalom, lived adjoining him. They were own brothers to Isaac Pavey's first wife. Edward Adams was a Justice of Peace in 1828. Edward Adams owned 40 acres, John Adams 69 1/2 acres, Peter Adams 100 acres, Absalom Adams, 151 1/2 acres. Another pages shows Absalom sold to Edward Adams 40 acres in 1825.

Christopher, My address is mfriedly@adelphia.net I have been on the phone with my cousin in Ohio and we believe you must be related to us but through another person. You could still be a descendant of Allensworth because he left a son in Texas named John about whom we know nothing except his name. He was the son of Elizabeth Sartain which is not the Elizabeth named in the 1860 census. They also had a daughter Rebecca who stayed in Texas. Our ancestor was Elizabeth French to whom Allensworth was married the second time and is the Elizabeth in the census. She was his cousin. He went back and forth from Ky to TX several times. We have some of the names of Allensworth's ancestors. What did you hear about your Adams family when you were growing up? Maybe we can help you figure this out. Were you told that Allensworth and Peachie were your ancestors? They were from Rockcastle, Garrard or Lincoln Counties here in KY and they came back to Rockcastle. These counties all border each other. There is so much of it that I can't keep it in my head anymore. I will be 82 in July and going strong on this kind of thing but my cousin is younger and rattles is off. She does not have a computer. She and I would love to be able to find out exactly were you are in this family. Also, you know the census has many mistakes in it. Some were guesses by the enumerator. Allensworth had a brother and I believe his name may have been Willis. I will have to do a little research on that one. Tell me about the Adams family you know of and we will see what we can find. My GGGrandmother Peachie has been a mystery to me fdor awhile. She married Hugh Lively Griffin in 1861, Hugh was from Alabama. From what I know Peachie was brn in 1847 and died in 1871 but had four children in that short time. I found her in the 1860 census from Robertson Co, TX as a thirteen year old. It has Olmstead A. listed at 4 yrs. old, not Armstead. It also has Peachie listed as male. Someone was being sloppy. I have no other info. on Allensworth or his wife Elizabeth. I would appreciate any info. you have on the family, cousin. Thank you. Peachie and Hugh had four children. Annah E. Griffin, brn.1 Aug. 1864, Willis A. Griffin, brn. 22 Jan. 1866; James W.
