Has any of this line done DNA testing? My husbands 3rd great was James Adams and according to census born in TN in 1799 (tennessee was not a state yet ) must have been the western frontier of NC. His DNA only matched one other Adams who was James Asa who lived in northern NC close to VA. So we are always looking for Adams connections in that area. Our James married a Catherine Thomas and went to MO in a wagon train in 1837. I have no idea who our James siblings might have been, or who his father was, so...just asking? Fellows, Ezekiel Tennison, and Martha & Henry McGlamary. Henry is my great great great grandfather and I have been searching for him since he left Ouachita County, Arkansas, moved to Brazos County, TX with his family and disappeared from the 1860 Census. Can you tell me what other info you have on this line? I believe Henry was the eldest son of John McGlamery and Catherine Brinker of McGlamery Stand, TN in Wayne Co., TN. Also any info about the Adams? Do you have any marriage licenses or info on William Adams. Where was he from? I am so amazed to see your posting. Please write back if you can. His grandmother was JULIA BELLE (ADAMS) BURNETT. She was JOHN CLAUSEL ADAMS, SR.'s first cousin. Years ago he gave her a book that gave their ADAMS lineage back to PRESIDENT JOHN ADAMS. The family has lost this book and wonders if descendants of JOHN CLAUSEL ADAMS, JR., might have a copy. My friend remembers this couple had a daughter CAROLYN who was born Dec 28, 1944, exactly two years later than his own birth on same day and month. He would love to hear from this family. I have set up a website on his ADAMS family named for his grandmother.
