Adams, 85, formerly of Corry, Pa., died on Saturday, January 23, 2010 in the Twinbrook Medical Center in Erie, Pa. She was born in Spring Creek, Pa. on September 20, 1924, a daughter of the late Opal and Cora Sischo Miles. Mrs. Adams was raised and educated in the Spring Creek area and attended Lottsville High School. Following high school, she married and stayed at home to raise and care for her family. She also helped on the family dairy farm, where she was the hard working hands behind her farmer. She attended Harbor Ridge Wesleyan Methodist Church and was a member of the Friendship Aid, of Club 39 and was a past member of the Pa. Grange. She enjoyed doing puzzles. Her main priority was her family, she especially enjoyed helping and caring for her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allan M. Adams Sr. on January 5, 1997. They were married on November 23, 1943 in Lake Pleasant, Pa. She was also preceded in death by a son, Allan Adams Jr., two sisters, Hazel Merva and Carol Loomis, by four brothers, Harold, Lloyd, Lawrence and Keith Miles and by a granddaughter, Sandra Lee Anderson. Mrs. Adams is survived by two daughters, Norma Beers of Erie, Pa. and Patricia Anderson and her husband, Clay, of Waterford, Pa., by a daughter-in-law, Linda Adams of Corry, Pa., by a son Carl Adams and his wife, Susan, of Erie, Pa., by three sisters, Edna Spangler of Kane, Pa., Winifred Geiger and her husband, Ted, of Bear Lake, Pa. and Rosemary Huffman and her husband, Harold, of Spring Creek, Pa., by two brothers, Frank Miles and his wife, Doris of Corry, Pa. and Opal "Alec" Miles and his wife, Joyce, of Warren, Pa. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, five great- great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a special little friend, Tess.
