    1. Genealogy of Wallace Andrew "Wally" HEBERT question
    2. Brenda Hebert
    3. Hi! I was checking through the database on Ancestry.com of professional baseball players and hadn't realized until now that an HEBERT had played professional baseball. Major League Baseball has the following info about Wally: Wally Hebert Bats: Left Throws: Left Height: 6' 1" Weight: 195 lbs. Born: Aug 21, 1907 in Lake Charles, Louisiana Died: Dec 8, 1999 in Westlake, Louisiana He was a pitcher who played for the St. Louis Browns in 1931, 1932 and 1933 and then for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1943. The Social Security Death Index has Wally's birthday as August 22, 1907. I checked the 1920 Census for a Wally or Wallace Hebert in Calcasieu Parish, but didn't find one. I did, however, find an Andrew W. (according to the Ancestry.com database Wally's full name is Wallace Andrew HEBERT). His parents were Aurelian and Euphemie, or at least that's what it looked like. I was curious as to where Wally fits in the grand scheme of Acadian/Cajun HEBERTs. BTW, the link to Wally in the baseball player database on Ancestry.com leads to a photo of him along with his St. Louis Browns' teammates. ~~Bren Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure.
