Hi Paula, I charted this out and realized (what you noticed and I did not) that the Marguerite Landry [Germain & Marie Melancon] according to White, p. 930 married GERMAIN BABIN, son of Jean & Marguerite BOUDROT] Therefore Simon's last name should be Babin. Following this to the end, i.e. Magdeliene "Landry" that married Edouard GAUDIN [GODIN] would have been Magdeleine BABIN not Landry. Marie Magdeleine according to her marriage record [ASC-2, 69], [DOBR, v.2, p. 310]to Edouard states that she was a widow of Baptiste LANDRY [parents not given]. It appears that her previous married name was used in the dispensation record rather than her maiden name of BABIN.
