The ship was taken over by its Acadian prisoners, who drove it into the Saint John River pg 275 Explanatory Note : Claude Petitpas Claude Petitpas, one of the syndics at Port-Royal, is mentioned in Marie de Menou's baptismal record, September 1, 1639, at Port-Royal. As the future clerk of court would have only been thirteen years old at that date, it is improbable that this could have been the same individual.
