March 29, 1787 she married (2) Jean Guzman and had a son Bartolome Gusman > This e-mail was scanned by RAV Antivirus. (www.ravantivirus.com) Hi Don, Thanks for the response. She was in fact married (2) in 1787 to Phillippe Bourier after Etienne died . They had one son, Joseph Raphael, who was ba. Oct. 27, 1788 (ASC-5-20) Witness were Joseph Garsieur and Marie Josephe Landry She got together with 'Gusman' after Boudier/Bourier. I don't know if he died or what happened. If someone out there knows, please let me know? Anyhow, The son they supposedly had was actually, Juan and he was the Father of Bartolome. I believe you may be missing another Juan between Jean and Bartolome. So, Bartolome (my ancestor) would have been the grandson of Gusman and Brigitte. The problem is that, I am intent on disproving that Jean Guzman and Brigitte Trahan Landry were never married and that the son, Juan was not Brigitte Trahan's son. Unfortunately this may not sit well with some of the local family historians. I believe he is the son of Jean Guzman and Rose Bonnevie (Jacque BONNEVIE and Margaret LAURE(Lord)who came to New Orleans in 1785 aboard the L'Amite. According to my research they brought 2 of their 11 children with them, namely, Rosalie Charlotte Guzman, born 1761 St. Pierre Miquelon and a son, Jean Thomas Guzman born 1783 Chantenay St. Martin (Loire Fra). This is the Jean who married Maria Candelaria Veillon in St. Bernard Parish. I have found the marriage record of Rosalie Charlotte GUZMAN, the daughter that arrived in New Orleans, with them.. She in fact married twice according the SLC records By the way, they settled in St. Bernard Parish. Jean Guzman's wife, Rose Bonnevie died and is bured in Terre Aux Boeuf Cemetery in Violet, La., St. Bernard Parish. She is listed in ADNO/SLC records as BUENAVIDA, ROSA. If someone can find a marriage record for Jean Guzman and Brigitte Trahan Landry, please, I would love to be wrong in this case. However, I don't think I am. I have volumes on these folks and am not even close to probing Brigitte Trahan Landry was the Mother of Juan Guzman, born 1783. In fact, it's practically impossible, (because unless a person changes his date of birth) because she was havingg children with Etienne Landry at the same time and she wasn't in St. Bernard Parish then. I see there is some more input. You all don't know how much I appreciate this. Sincerely, Marsha This e-mail was scanned by RAV Antivirus. (www.ravantivirus.com)
