Can anyone help Ester. The surname "Par" is actually "Part". Pierre Part a town in Louisiana was named for Pierre Pare the person. Don Landry Following is her inquiry: Hello Dr. Landry, I have Joseph Landry, son of Firmin, father of Anastasie, in my family tree, through Anastasie. However, I also have a branch through Joseph's widow Marie Ann Melancon & Thomas Parr, Jr. I cannot go back any farther back than Thomas,Sr. being his father. (I don't know his mother's last name.) do not know what nationality they or he were. Somehow, I don't think they were Acadian. (There were not to many Acadian men named Thomas, for one reason.) However, I have no idea where to start to look for them. (Thomas,Jr. was bpt. in St. Martinville.) Any thoughts on this? Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
