LANDRY, OLIVIER (continued) In the 29 June 1766 Cabaanocé Lower Coast (Verret’s Company) census [1] is found: [Olivier] Landry man age 41 Cécile [Poirier] woman age 40 Joseph fils man age 15 Marie girl 15 Jean-Antoine, baptized 26 February 1764, is not in the 1766 census [died?]. Olivier Landry died before 26 April 1774[2] when his widow, Cécile Poirier, married Jean-Jacques Léger, son of Jacques Léger[3] and Anne Amireau[4] , and widower of Marie-Madeleine Saulnier. In the 1 January 1777 St. James Parish census[5] is found: Jean Leger age 55 Cecille Poirier wife age 52 [widow Olivier Landry] Widow Faurest age 56 [Anne Martin-second wife of Joseph Forest] Jean-Baptiste Faurest orphan age 4 [of Joseph Forest and first wife Isabelle Léger] Rozalie [Forest] orphan age 7 [of Joseph Forest and first wife Isabelle Léger] Marguerite [Forest] orphan age 3 [of Joseph Forest and first wife Isabelle Léger] Pierre Poirier, orphan age 13 [Abraham Poirier and Agnes Belliveau] Isabelle Léger was the daughter of Jean Léger, orphans were Jean Léger’s grandchildren. Anne Martin was their stepmother. Marie Landry married 1768[6] Charles Thibodeau, born 1740, son of Pierre Thibodeau[7] and Madeleine Cormier[8]. In the 1 January 1777 St. James Parish census[9] is found: Charles Thibodeau age 36 Marie Landry wife age 25 Jean Charles son age 2 Marguerite daughter age 7 Magdelaine daughter age 5 Marie daughter 7 (mos.) Joseph Landry married 1768 Marie-Anne Cormier, born 14 November 1746 [10], daughter of Jean-Baptiste Cormier[11], pere and Madeleine Richard[12].
