Does anyone on this list have any information about "DeJean Freres & Co." There are many references to them on St. Landry Courthouse documents during the mid 1800s. They appear to have been either bondsmen or notaries and their name was always followed by a seal on documents. Would love to know more about this. I am descended from DeJean family from BreauxBridge/Cecilia area. Thanks for any help. Myra Guidry Clay
