Rita, The most likely candidate appears to be Marguerite Daigre [Daigle] bn 11/18/1725 [St. Charles-aux-Mines records], daughter of Joseph and Magdeleine Gotrot. There is a Marguerite born 12/20/1723, daughter of Lucien and Francoise Granger, but the other records and the Belle Isle-en-Mer records indicates that Lucien was Olivier. Information on the daughter of Olivier and Francoise Granger is given in the BIM by her 3 brothers. They show her dob as 12/28/1724. She m. Jean Landry and was exiled to Boston. I am looking for the parents of Marguerite Daigle b. abt 1824. She was the spouse of Pierre Dugas b. abt 1828. This couple and their children were sent to St. Malo on January 23, 1759 [p. 305-306 Robichaux's "The Acadian Exiles in St. Malo 1758-1785". Pierre Dugas & Marguerite Daigle were the parents of the following: 1)Anne Osite Dugas b. abt 1752 [she married (1)Charles Hebert (2)Joseph Granger]. 2)Marguerite Blanche Dugas b. abt 1755 [she married Pierre Bourg in France]. 3)Victor Osite Dugas b. abt 1757, d. 1758-1759 during the crossing to France. 4)Anne Marie Dugas b. 26 July 1761 in Plouer, Cotes-du-Nord, France. 5)Marie Victoire Dugas b. 5 Aug. 1764 Plouer, Cotes-du-Nord, France,[she married Louis Richard s/o Pierre Richard & Marguerite Dugas aft 1785 in Louisiana]. With the help of Stephen White's information on dispensations found in the marriage record of Anne Osite and her first spouse, Charles Hebert [p. 168-169 English notes iv.], I have been able to find the "correct" set of parents for Pierre, but up until now, it has not been the case with Marguerite's parents. Pierre Dugas and Marguerite Daigle are my 5th gr. grandparents thru their daughter, Marie Victoire. Any help/direction on locating Marguerite's parents would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks Stanley, SAW p. 439 indicates that this Marguerite [daughter of Joseph & Magdeleine Gautrot] married Paul CYR s/o Louis & Marie Josephe Michel in Port LaJoye on 12 nov. 1753. :-( I wish it were, though...sure would simplify things for me...hehehe. Again, I appreciate your time & input !
