    1. [ACADIAN-CAJUN] Parents of Susanne Boudrot
    2. Rita
    3. I am looking for the parents of Susanne Boudrot b. abt 1740 ?, spouse of Olivier Pierre Benoit b. abt 1735 ?. s/o Pierre & Anne Marie Gaudet. Susanne is with her spouse, Olivier & 3 children, Jean, Marguerite, & Marie at the time of the July 7, 1763 census of PORTABACO, MARYLAND. I am not sure if Susanne made it to Louisiana, because abt 1765 Oliver remarried Marie Geneviève Brasseur d/o Matthieu & Jeanne Célestin dit Bellemère. If Susanne was indeed born abt 1740, that would put her age in the 1752 census at abt 12 yrs. old. I have searched the census of Isle St. Jean and found numerous "BOUDROT" children in several households listed as "orphan" or "niece of" or "nephew of" or simply a "BOUDROT" child in a household of a different surname altogether. I will list my findings from the 1752 census at the end of this message... My question is...Is it possible that all of these "Boudrot" children the children of the deceased Jean (Baptiste) Boudrot m.Oct 18, 1729 in Grand Pré to Catherine (Brassaux) Brassaud? The ages seem to fit in the time frame of Jean & Catherine having children. Although I did not find a child named "Susanne Boudrot" in this census, my suspicion is that Jean & Catherine could be her parents [note: one clue: Catherine Brassaux/Brassaud had a sister named Susanne. Wishful thinking...maybe so :-). So far I have only 'child' connection to Jean (Baptiste) Boudrot & Catherine Brassaux/Brassaud ...that being their daughter Marguerite Boudreaux b. abt 1741 who married Benjamin Pitre b.abt. 1725, s/o Claude & Marguerite Doiron.
