Did you know that Montet is not Acadian. In my research, I have come to the conclusion that, Guillaume Montet met & married the Acadian girl, Marie Vincent, in the Liverpool, England prison. He may have been imprisoned there as a French soldier. Marie was the sister of Pierre Vincent, (First Vincnet in Louisiana), & daughter of Joseph, (who died in the Liverpool prison before his family ended up on Belle Isle en Mar, France.). Marie's mother was Marie Bodart from Acadia & servived to live on Belle Isle. The Montet children came to Louisiana without their parents & grandmother. The 3 are buried on Belle Isle en Mar. If any of you have ancestors that were on Belle Isle en Mar, France, there is a Belle Isle en Mar Club & the contact person there's E-mail is atbellile @club-internet.fr I'm sorry to say, I don't recall the gentleman's name. They are trying to gather as much info. as they can, of where all the descendants of BLenM are today. so let them hear from you.
