Many of the families on La Ville D'Archangel were settled initially in East Baton Rouge Parish. I don't have the census records for Iberville Parish and East Baton Rouge Parish. Some of the Forest [shown as Foret]lines from France went to Attakapas. Below are entries for descendants of Jacques Forest [Michel and Marie Bellemere] m. Claire Vincent and Jacques Forest [parents not shown in the Acadian Exiles...] m. Marguerite Commaux. These aren't all the entries. I'll try and enter all on my database asap. Abt 1750 is shown as the only survivor to live in St. Servan between 1759-1765. The parents of Jean aren't given but he was born in 1722 and would the right age for a brother of Jacques Forest, bn 1710 an dmarried to Claire Vincent. Jacques Forest, age 75 arrived on La Ville D'Archangel along with Angelique Richet, wife, 43; Etienne Forest, nephew, 30 and MarieJeanne Billeza, widow of Francois LeSommer, 27. Pisiquit, Acadia. Per the St Malo records, he survived the deportation and was living in the St Servan parrish 1759-65. His parents, Jean Baptist/Marie Madeliene LeBlanc and siblings Olivier and Marie-Josephe parrished in the deportation. Another sibling, Theodose, escaped deportation by going to Quebec. In Acadian Families in Exile 1785 by Rev. Donald J. Hebert, on page 91, an Etienne Forest is listed on the passenger list of La Ville d'Archangel. They are family number 13 and this Etienne is listed as a nephew of Jacques Forest.. This Jacques Forest is a grand uncle of the Etienne Forest (JB/Marie Madeleine LeBlanc), so this might possibly be the correct Etienne. Any suggestions on confirming this is the correct Etienne and son of JB and Marie Madeleine LeBlanc would be appreciated.
