The church at St. James was established in 1770 [there are a few records recorded earlier] so the births for those born earlier are determined by the 1766 and the 1769 census records. The marriages were recorded by the Commandants so these are available. The 1st child baptized at St. James was Antoine-Alexander LeBlanc, son of Simon and Anne Arceneaux, widow Bergeron.
