I forgot to mention that Simon Mire was my 5th great-granduncle. His brother Joachim-Belony was my 5th great-grandfather via his daughter Scholastique who married Simon Richard. Simon and Scholastique's son, Jean-Baptiste m. Hortence LeBlanc. Their daughter, Doralise married Octave LeBlanc and they are my 2nd great-grandparents. She was in the first group of Acadians. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stanley LeBlanc" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, March 17, 2006 12:42 PM Subject: RE: [ACADIAN-CAJUN] Joseph MIRE, detail > Simon and Madeleine [who married 3/31/1766] had a son named Joseph bn abt > 1769 [he was 8 mos old on the 9/14/1769 census].
