Paul, I have info re the Hebert line. It is shown as Hebet [also Eber, Ever, Ebert, Eberre, Hever, Hivere] in the DOBR books and gradually Heber and Hebert. Francois who married Marie Anne Marcantel came from Burgundy, France. Marie-Anne Marcantel mother was Anne Rondot. When she died, her father, Francois Marcantel, married Marie-Josephe Richaume, the widow of Noel Soileau. The Marcantel and Soileau lines moved from Pointe Coupee to Opelousas.
