    3. The source for the unpublished LeBlanc volume is the DOBR and SWLR records. This was a French-Canadian LeBlanc line. Pierre-Jacques is normally shown as Pierre, but on some records is shown as Pierre-Jacques because his father's name was Jacques. The age of 103 at death comes from the SWLR entry, but, it is incorrect! As Lucie states, he was born abt 1748 and died in 1830 so he was 82. One has to be careful about claims of age at death of over 100 in the early records - I haven't found an accurate one, especially for the Mouton line! Closer to home, I was told that my great-grandmother was over 100 when she died, but she was actually about 90. 3. The information posted yesterday may also be found in DOBR and SWLR records*but in this case* the information in the Unpublished DGFA LeBlanc volume comes from: The Parish Registers for: Montreal Nouvelle-Iberie [New Iberia] Opelousas St-Martinville I should have posted that yesterday. I should have also said that this is not an Acadian line.
