    3. Simon LeBlanc was my 5th great-granduncle. Marguerite Guilbeaux was his second wife. Based upon his age at death, some incorrectly assumed that he was the sonof Antoine LeBlanc and Marie Babin; however, he was the son of Rene LeBlanc and Anne Theriot. His younger brother, Rene, was also at Attakapas. Four of his sisters married sons of Joseph Broussard dit Beausoleil.
