Raphael Broussard, son of Beau Soleil, died before le Grande Derangement leaving our g...gg..g aunt Rose Leblanc Broussard a widow, as you noted in reply to Ethel, . Did Raphael die in the guerilla skirmishes led by his father Joseph Broussard de Beau Soleil? Or did he die with so many others at Miramichi? Do we know how he and his two children died?     3. Roger, As you know, Rose, a widow, had been in New Orleans "for several months" when she entered the Convent in August 1765. This indicates that she arrived in May 1765 with the 2nd group from Halifax who had also gone to St. Domingue. So Raphael and the children apparently died before May 1765.
