    3. Hi Everybody, With Margy’s permission I am posting this message. Hurricanes are not common to the Maritimes and people there cannot remember when they’ve had a storm like Hurricane Juan barrel through. It had been downgraded to a Tropical Storm traveling at 80-90 miles per hour but weather people on the Island say it hit them at 138 mph. I had invited two people from Nova Scotia to be presenters at our conference this past Saturday and the ship they took to return to Nova Scotia sailed in spite of the fact that the hurricane was heading their way. They thought that the ship would go down…..;o( There has been lots of damage – for more information you can go to these Canadian news sites: http://www.cbc.ca/stories/2003/09/30/juan030930 http://novascotia.cbc.ca/regional/servlet/View?filename=ns_hurricane0309 29 http://pei.cbc.ca/regional/servlet/View?filename=pe_storm20030929 Lucie LeBlanc Consentino Acadian & French Canadian Ancestral Home www.acadian-home.org <http://www.acadian-home.org/> Am-Can Gen Soc www.acgs.org <http://www.acgs.org/> CMA 2004 - www.cma2004.com Grand-Pré - http://www.grand-pre.com/ www.umoncton.ca/etudeacadiennes/centre/cea.html <http://www.umoncton.ca/etudeacadiennes> <http://www.grand-pre.com/>

    3. Lucie, I assume you are talking about Georges Arsenault and Barbara Leblanc. I hope they are OK....? Very nice people. BTW, Georges made the comment to me that I was the first Québecois Arseneau he had ever met.
