    3. Hi Jackie - by 1760 almost all Acadians were living in exile or in prisons [or in hiding]. It is not that likely that this couple would have married in Acadia. Bona Arsenault has Joseph Michel born 1735 and having married abt 1755 to Madeleine Comeau. This Joseph was the son of Pierre Michel and Marie-Anne Guilbeau/Guilbault and Madeleine Comeau would have been the daughter of François Comeau and Anne Lord/Laure. Source: Port-Royal, Volume 2 Joseph Michel was in St-Pierre-les-Becquets, Quebec in 1760. His wife, Madeleine Comeau was buried in Gentilly, Quebec on 3 September 1816. Bona lists the following children for this couple: Francois and Jean born 1760 Genevieve 1762 Madeleine 1764 Marguerite 1766 Pierre 1768 Jacques 1770 Charles-Auguste 1772 Marie-Joseph 1776. This list may not be complete and I would try to have all of the above information verified through parish registers or work by people like Stephen White.
