    1. [ACADIAN-CAJUN] ACADIANS TO LOUISIANA WITH JOSEPH BROUSSARD / Firmin Landry
    2. Roger A. Rozendal
    3. Don, I have that Bonaventure Gaudin and Theotiste Thibodeau were imprisoned in Halifax and came to Louisiana with Joseph Broussard, settling at Attakapas where Bonaventure Gaudin died. I have found no church record of his death, but the records are missing after October 1765. I have this family listed in my Group III. Also in this group is Jean-Baptiste Bergeron with whom Theotiste and her daughter are listed in 1766 Cabanocey census. Also in this group is Bonaventure Gaudin married to Marguerite Bergeron, uncle to the Bonaventure married to Theotiste Thibodeau. Jean-Baptiste and Marguerite are siblings, making a tight knit family group all of whom fled to Cabanocey. Firmin Landry probably came to Louisiana in 1767 with the rest of the Marylanders although I also have found no record of his comming. He probably married Theotiste in 1769 and immediately went to Attakapas where in the 1769 Attakapas census (exact date unknown) is listed: Firmen Landry age 42 Wife Joseph son age 17 Saturnin son age 15 Elena daughter age 19 Magdeleine daughter age 13 Barbe daughter (sic)[Gaudin] age 8 I believe they went back to Attakapas because this is where the siblings of Theotiste were: Anselme Anne Magdeleine Marie-Louise I will be out of town the next two weeks, but later I will try to document my Groups II and III the way I did the receipt holders and post them.
