I am trying to help Susan Michelle Landry at SkeeterBelle2000 research he family genealogy. Can anyone who has access to Heberts SWLR aand or the CD of same help her?? Adea Dubois Nicholas Landry s/o Jules and Marie Dronaite (Dronet) bn 17 October 1866-7 at Abbeville (Abbeville Ch., v. 2, p. 153) (Hebert SWLR Vol. 8, p. 298) see p. 268 also Hebert SWLR Vol 5, p. 243) Nicholas died September 18, 1935 He married Elvina Dubois (Abbeville Ch. v. p, 120) - Also marriage certificate at Abbeville Courthouse dated 3 January. Nicholas died September 18, 1935 - Elvina (Alvina) Dubois was born December 5, 1873 and died November 24, 1965 Issue of Nicholas Landry and Elvina Dubois Avenell (Avenet) Joseph Landry son of Nicholas Landry and Elvina (Alvina) Dubois was bn at Erath on November 13, 1890 and died June 04, 1961 he married Adelaide Bernard who was born December 23, 1899 and died April 27, 1961 - marriage date -unknown but they are together in a 1920 Vermilion Parish Census - Adelaide Bernard was the daughter of- Louis Bernard and Irene Herbert (no dates) Pervis is the son of Avenell (Avenet) Joseph Landry and Adelaide Bernard and was born October 20, 1920 in Erath La. He was married at Wharton Tx on Mar- 6 1947 to Ernestine Margaret Love who was born 9/5/1925 at Wharton Tx Susan Michelle Landry daughter of Pervis Ray Landry and Ernestine Margaret Love) was born October 13, 1954 Wharton Tx on- I didn't realize how extensive your research seems to be! If it would interest you, I can give current information on Landry descendents from Nicholas Landry b.10/17/1867 who was Julian's son. His first born was Avenell listed (Avenail) in the 1900 Vermilion Parish Census who married Adelaide Bernard son of Numa Bernard who I am still researching. Avenell was my grandfather he commited suicide in Jun 1961 after Adelaide fell and broke a bone which resulted in complications that caused her death in Apr 1961. If you want them I have names and some dates for his descendents (my research is in its infancy). Any assistance you could offer would be greatly appreciated. (Documentation, research links etc).
