Hi From entries found in the Southwest Louisiana Church & Civil Records [Hebert] it appears that Abraham POIRIER [parents not identified] must have remarried. At the time of the marriage of his first child, [(SM Ch.: v.4, #6), Pierre POIRIER (Abraham & dec. Ana BENIBO)] m 1 Sept. 1787 BABINEAUX, Scholastique - of Canada (dec. Charles BABINO & Ana GUILBEAU), his spouse is shown to be Anna BABINEAU. However at the time of the births of some of his grandchildren, his spouse is shown to be Agnes LANOUX; example:(SM Ch.: v.6, #402] POIRIER, Scholastique, (Pierre - of La Pointe & Scholastique BABINEAU) b. 28 Aug. 1805, bt. 7 June 1807 Pats: Abraham POIRIER & Agnes LANOUX; Mats: Louis BABINEAU & Anne GUILBEAU; Spons: Julien POIRIER & Julie DUGAS. Fr. Gabriel ISABEY ). I have not been able to find a death date for Anne Babineau nor a marriage record for Agnes Lanoux. Has anyone else encountered these records and offer any help?
