    3. Yes this is another Jean Claude DGFA v2 p 1456-1457 All we really know about him is in the census of 1671 he was a Laboureur of 50 years old. No other know records. to go from prince to labourer? So many people want to tie back to Europe but we cannot. No remaining church records until about 1704. Only a few of the ship passenger list. no other clues. Possibly a Belle Isle deposition but enough errors to make me think about what is up. 3. LOL - rather than a Jack to a King .... more like a King to a Jack of all trades *grin* It IS rather frustrating that so many records ended up lost. 3. All Acadians came from Europe - what we can't do is tie back to specific lines and locations for some such as Daniel LeBlanc because records were destroyed. Noblemen did go to New France and to Colonial Louisiana; and, the British gave minor Titles to Alexander and others in Nova Scotia. Savoy was a Region and not everyone who was from Savoy was a member of Nobility.
