Hi all, This is a very good exhibit, but of course I am prejudice. :-) It shows the length that legislatures and persons of interest went to, to understate the events and the real reasons that Joseph & other Acadians found themselves in the Commonwealth. To use the term "visitor" is silly, but it could have been used in ignorance as well. In those times, there were other types of "indentured" workers. Perhaps the historians of the times saw these French Neutrals in the same way. ???
