Hi to all, My name is Keith LeBouef. I'm cajun and was born and raised in Houma La. I now live in Titusville Fl. for the last 13 years or so. I am now involved with a Canadian, French genealogy society in Melbourne, Fl. This is where I finally got to meet in person my first Acadian Cousins and vise versa, I'm the first cajun for them to meet with an exception of one or two. Last month I saw a video called Acadie Liberte' and really enjoyed it. It was of the Acadians that settled Acadie and farmed the land for their families and then of the expulsion all the way to when they made it to La. The Group wants me to do a presentation on our cajun heritage. A proud cajun that I am said I'll be honored to do one even though I never done a thing like this before, but figured I have enough memories and all kinds of stories to share of our way of life that i think I'll do alright. I was wondering if anyone could steer me in the right direction to find some videos that could possibly start where t! he other left off and that was the Acadians arriving in La. from England. It would be great to be able to present a video from when the Acaidians arrived and settled in Acadiana to present day life in Cajun Country. Thanks and any help is greatly appreciated, Keith LeBouef PS I'm gonna read the Cajun Night Before Christmas story at the Christmas party next Monday. I'm excited about it as it will be my first time reading it to a group of people. With my accent it should prove to bon temp, can't wait.
